A lab report is an argumentative essay designed to describe and persuade an audience. Usually a lab report requires making a hypothesis about an event, launching a scientific study, proving the hypothesis with relevant literature, using a lot of data to test whether the hypothesis is correct, and then using theory to explain and convince the reader.
